Er studiekurset for dig?

You are a student about to start using Excel's many features for your studies or study-related job, and you want to learn or refresh your knowledge of the basic tools in Excel. No previous experience with Excel is required to participate in this course.

Er studiekurset for dig?

In this course, you will get an introduction to navigating Excel's cells, rows, columns, tabs, and toolbar. You will learn to use simple functions like sum, average, min, and max, and you will gain knowledge on formatting cells and cell references.

You will learn how to create and format simple tables, charts, and figures, and how to link tables with Word. Additionally, you will learn about conditional formatting, which is useful when working with larger data sets and references.

In the course, you will receive:

  • Tools that enable you to use simple functions and time-saving cell references, among others.
  • Knowledge of how to present data visually, including setting up tables and simple figures.
  • Insight into using absolute/relative cell references.

The teaching alternates between lectures and practical exercises.

Remember this before attending

You must have Microsoft Excel 2016 or a newer version installed to participate in the course. If you have Office 365, you already have Excel. We recommend having the latest version of Excel installed on your computer as there might be minor challenges if using an older version.

It does not matter whether you use Mac or Windows.

For the online course, make sure your audio and webcam are working as you will interact with other participants. We start with a sound check fifteen minutes before the course begins.
